I believe that fostering a safe, curious, and supportive therapeutic space for young people and their families can promote awareness of existing challenges while encouraging growth.

Paula Tomé

Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist

Paula is a psychodynamic therapist specialising in supporting  children, young people and their families.

Paula has extensive experience across primary, secondary, and third-sector educational and mental health settings. She addresses a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, bereavement, disordered eating, gender identity, trauma, self-harm, and suicidality. Paula is culturally competent, works with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and supports neurodivergent young people both with and without a formal diagnosis. Additionally, she is able to provide sessions in both English and Portuguese.

Her approach is relational, warm, and non-judgmental. Rather than positioning herself as an expert on a client’s life, she focuses on creating a safe environment to help individuals understand their concerns and relationships. Her goal is to support clients in rediscovering the resilience needed to move forward with confidence and creativity.
